Customer rental agreement

Payment, equipment-care and return agreement

Effective date 09/20/2026Governing law California

This agreement forms part of the customer's ScreenLease Rental Agreement. “Customer” means the person renting the television or monitor. “Screen” means the rented television or monitor. “ScreenLease” means the owner and lessor of the screen and included equipment.

1. Monthly payments

The monthly rental payment is due on the billing date shown during Checkout and will be charged automatically to the customer's saved payment method.

For the Samsung 32-inch H5000F promotion, rent is $29 for each of the first three monthly billing periods and automatically becomes $35 per month beginning with the fourth monthly billing period.

A declined, disputed, reversed, or otherwise unsuccessful payment does not cancel the rental, return the screen, or erase the amount due. All past-due rental payments and other valid charges remain owed until paid.

2. Refundable security deposit

Catalog TVs and monitors require the refundable security deposit displayed beside the selected product and at Checkout. It is charged once, separately from the first monthly rental payment. Future monthly payments contain rent, not another deposit.

The Samsung 32-inch H5000F promotion requires an $85 refundable security deposit at Checkout, charged separately from the first $29 monthly rental payment. The total due at Checkout is $114 before any legally required tax or separately disclosed charge.

The security deposit is not rent, rental revenue, or a prepayment of future rent. ScreenLease holds it as an amount potentially owed back to the customer. It does not reduce monthly rental obligations and does not transfer ownership of the screen.

After ScreenLease receives the screen and required accessories through the approved return process, ScreenLease will inspect them and, within 14 calendar days after receipt, either refund the unused deposit or provide a refund together with an itemized statement of deductions.

Permitted deductions are limited to unpaid amounts owed under this agreement, documented damage beyond ordinary wear, missing components, reasonable cleaning or repair costs, applicable replacement costs, and approved return-shipping expenses, in each case only to the extent allowed by law. If no deduction applies, the full security deposit paid will be refunded. If valid charges exceed the deposit, the remaining balance continues to be owed.

3. Three-month minimum promotional term

The Samsung 32-inch H5000F promotion has a minimum rental term of three complete monthly rental periods beginning on the rental start date. The customer may not voluntarily return the promotional screen during that minimum period unless ScreenLease agrees in writing or applicable law requires otherwise.

The first three $29 monthly payments remain due even if the customer stops using, abandons, or attempts to surrender the screen early. After the minimum period ends, the customer may begin the approved return process. Billing continues at $35 per month until the Confirmed Return Date defined below.

4. Late payments

ScreenLease provides a grace period of 14 calendar days after the payment due date. ScreenLease currently does not assess a separate late fee. The unpaid rental amount remains due, and ScreenLease may retry the saved payment method and send payment reminders.

A failed payment does not authorize the customer to keep the screen without continuing rental charges.

5. Ending the rental

The customer must contact ScreenLease at Dylan@ScreenLeaseOrders.com and follow the approved return instructions to end the rental.

Disabling a payment method, disputing a charge, or changing settings in the Stripe Customer Portal does not return the screen or end the rental. Monthly charges continue until the screen enters the approved return process described below.

6. Care of the screen

The customer must:

  • Keep the screen and accessories in a secure, dry indoor location.
  • Use the screen according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Protect it from impact, liquid, smoke, excessive heat, pests, and unauthorized alterations.
  • Notify ScreenLease promptly about malfunction, damage, loss, or theft.
  • Not sell, pledge, transfer, sublease, dispose of, or permit unauthorized repairs to the screen.

ScreenLease remains the owner of the screen throughout the rental.

7. Damage and repairs

The customer is not responsible for ordinary wear resulting from normal, careful use. The customer is responsible for damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, improper installation, unauthorized repair or alteration, missing components, or failure to follow the care requirements.

ScreenLease may charge the reasonable, documented cost of diagnosis, parts, labor, and necessary shipping. Repair charges will not exceed the screen's applicable replacement value.

ScreenLease will provide an itemized description of the claimed damage and charges at least 14 days before charging the customer's saved payment method, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to prevent further loss.

8. Loss, theft, destruction and unreturned equipment

The customer must report loss, theft, or destruction within 24 hours after discovering it. For theft, ScreenLease may reasonably request a police-report number.

If the screen is lost, destroyed, or not returned after written demand and a reasonable return period, the customer may be charged the reasonable documented replacement cost of the same or an equivalent screen, reduced to account for the rented screen's age and condition and never exceeding the amount permitted by applicable law.

Repair charges, insurance proceeds, deposits, or previously collected replacement payments relating to the same loss will be credited to prevent duplicate recovery. Monthly rental charges stop on the effective date ScreenLease assesses and collects the full replacement charge. If the screen is later recovered, ScreenLease will adjust the account reasonably based on its condition and costs already incurred.

9. Return shipping and completion

The customer must request a return authorization before shipping the screen. ScreenLease will provide approved packing and carrier instructions.

Unless the order expressly states that return shipping is included, the customer is responsible for the actual disclosed cost of the approved return label, required packaging materials, missed pickups, address corrections, and shipping made necessary by failure to follow the return instructions.

The rental ends on the “Confirmed Return Date,” meaning the date the approved carrier first records possession of a properly packaged return, provided the shipment contains the rented screen and required accessories. Creating a label without a carrier acceptance scan does not complete the return.

If the package is empty, contains different property, or is rejected because the customer did not follow the instructions, monthly billing may continue until the correct screen enters the approved return process. Damage or missing-equipment charges may be assessed after the Confirmed Return Date following inspection.

10. Payment authorization

The customer authorizes ScreenLease and its payment processor to charge the saved payment method for:

  • Regular monthly rental payments;
  • The displayed refundable security deposit and deductions permitted by this agreement;
  • Approved return-shipping expenses;
  • Documented repair or missing-component costs; and
  • A documented replacement charge when permitted by this agreement.

This authorization does not waive the customer's rights under applicable law or card-network dispute procedures.

11. Questions and disputes

Questions, return requests, and disputes concerning an itemized charge should be sent to Dylan@ScreenLeaseOrders.com within 14 days after the statement or notice is delivered.

ScreenLease will review reasonably submitted evidence before making a final determination. Undisputed portions of the account remain payable while a particular charge is reviewed.

12. Governing law and severability

This agreement is governed by the laws of California, without waiving any mandatory consumer protections that apply to the customer. If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited only as necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

13. Property schedule

The customer's Checkout page and order confirmation identify the selected TV or monitor, monthly rental amount, customer, and rental start date. The screen's model and serial or inventory number will be provided with the shipment and become part of this agreement.

14. Acceptance

By affirmatively accepting these terms during the online order process, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this agreement.
